As you drive your electric vehicle, your car uses regenerative braking, or regen, to slow down and capture kinetic energy to either use immediately or store back in the battery.
Find out the range you’ve regenerated (in miles) from your recent drives by looking at your usage report in TezLab.
Find your range regenerated
- Download or open the TezLab app
- Scroll down the home screen until you see your usage report (Alternatively: click on the second tab on the bottom, and select the map of your recent activity)
- In your Usage Report, scroll down to “Range Regenerated”

How many miles regenerated is good?
Any number of miles regenerated is good!
The number of miles regenerated from regenerative braking can vary depending on driving habits, terrain, and other factors. However, a good benchmark might be around 10-15% of your total miles driven.
So, if you drive 500 miles over 5 days, regenerating around 50-75 miles would be considered excellent.
The number of miles regenerated shown is based on the span of time in your vehicle’s usage report.
