Offset Your Emissions by Planting Trees

Through TezLab, you have the opportunity to work toward offsetting your carbon emissions from charging by planting trees.

Trees play a crucial role in absorbing CO₂, improving air quality, creating habitats, and supporting local communities.

While planting trees is not equivalent to an immediate carbon offset or a carbon credit, it is unquestionably positive for the planet.

How it works

We’ve partnered with reputable tree planting organizations including OneTreePlanted, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reforestation efforts worldwide.

  1. When you place an order for a tree within TezLab, we dispatch these orders to the tree-planting organization.
  2. The organization bills us for the tree, their tree planting initiatives receive funding.
  3. Trees get planted, you feel good, and the earth feels good. Everybody wins.

These orders directly support reforestation projects. The funding from TezLab goes towards active projects in various regions, from Appalachia and the Amazon to Colombia and the Côte D’Ivoire.

Each project focuses on planting tree species suitable for the specific area, maximizing their environmental impact.

By participating in TezLab’s tree planting feature, you’re actively contributing to the fight against climate change.

How to plant a tree

From your TezLab home screen, scroll down to Sustainability and click in to see your forest and sustainability report.

Here you can get detailed information on how many kilograms of CO₂ you generate daily, your average daily offset, and where you land on the carbon impact scale compared to other drivers.

If you’re below Carbon Neutral, or if you want to reach the Eco Champion level, click the blue “Plant Trees” button.

You can choose a specific planting location if you’d like, and select the quantity of trees you want to plant – from 1 tree to carbon neutral (and beyond!).

100% optional

Tree planting within TezLab is 100% optional. It’s an opportunity for those who want to take an extra step towards environmental stewardship.
